Meditation Fundamentals

Meditation Fundamentals is our foundational meditation course. It’s a practical introduction to awareness-based living and contemporary meditation designed for real life. We explain what meditation actually is, not just how to sit or breathe, but what is happening in the mind, the nervous system, and your awareness when you meditate and how to work with it. Most importantly, if you learn via SOMM, you're stepping into an ecosystem of support, follow-up master classes and a real-life community (digital + in-person).

Rather than presenting meditation as a technique to “fix” yourself, this course frames it as a relationship with attention, and with life. You will finish the course with a clear understanding of what meditation is and how to weave it into your life consistently.

We explore meditation from all facets:

  • Ancient contemplative roots

  • Modern neuroscience

  • Psychological frameworks

  • Real-life integration
