Breathwork Fundamentals
Breathwork Fundamentals is our foundational breathwork course. At SOMM, we bring breathwork back into a relationship with awareness, nervous system regulation, and meditation. We are not interested in breathwork purely for intensity or peak experience. Instead, we focus on understanding what is happening in your system, choosing practices intentionally, and building capacity over time. That being said, we do encourage and offer longer breathwork journeys and immersions as a way to explore deeper states, build awareness, and safely access and integrate what may be held in the system.

Most importantly, if you learn via SOMM, you're stepping into an ecosystem of support, follow-up master classes and a real-life community (digital + in-person). Rather than presenting breathwork as a technique to “fix” yourself, this course frames it as a relationship with attention, and with life. You will finish the course with a clear understanding of what meditation is and how to weave it into your life consistently.

Amanda Wright is a Breathwork Coach, Qi Gong teacher, and facilitator, and the founder of Breathe Wright — a global wellness platform dedicated to nervous system regulation, embodied presence, and holistic wellbeing.
With over 20 years of experience in event curation and creative leadership as co-founder and former Creative Director of Splore Festival, Amanda brings a unique ability to create deeply immersive, transformative spaces. Her work bridges ancient practices and modern science, integrating breathwork, Qi Gong, and somatic awareness to support emotional resilience, clarity, and balance.
Amanda is trained in Draw Breath and Aria Breath (Tom Granger), Forest Rock Qi Gong (Peter Caughey), and Conscious Connected Breathwork through Seven Directions Breathwork (Steph Magenta). Her approach is grounded, accessible, and deeply intuitive — guiding people to reconnect with their natural rhythm and inner intelligence through the power of the breath.
